Knights trade Liberati; add Bell

Press Release

LONDON, ONTARIO: London Knights General Manager Mark Hunter announced today that the team has traded defenseman Miles Liberati to the North Bay Battalion in exchange for overage defenseman Zach Bell and a conditional 4th round pick (North Bay’s) in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection.

Liberati, a 3rd round selection of the Knights back in 2011, was a 7th round (205th overall) selection of the Vancouver Canucks in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft this past June and a member of the 2013 OHL Championship London Knights team.  He has 4 points and a plus-5 rating in 22 games this season.

Bell, a Brampton, Ontario native, is entering his 5th year of the Ontario Hockey League having played four full seasons with the North Bay (formerly Brampton) Battalion.  He’s played in 14 games this season with the Ontario Reign of the ECHL after signing a two-way contract with St. John’s Ice Caps (the Winnipeg Jet’s American Hockey League affiliate).
