MUSKEGON, Michigan (November 5th) – The Muskegon Lumberjacks have
announced a trade in which they have dealt Frederik Tiffels to the Fargo
Force in exchange for Alex Toscano and a conditional third-round pick
in the 2014 USHL Phase Two Draft.
Tiffels, the Cologne, Germany native, was in his second season with
the Lumberjacks and had recorded three goals and two assists to go along
with a plus-two rating in 13 games played this season. Last season
with the Lumberjacks, Tiffels played in 53 games combined between the
regular season and playoffs totaling 26 points (4 goals and 22 assists)
to go along with a plus-13 rating.
Tiffels is also committed to play collegiately for Western Michigan
University out of the newly-formed National Collegiate Hockey Conference
(NCHC) following his junior career.
In exchange, the Lumberjacks pick up Alex Toscano from the Force and
is currently in his first season in the USHL. This season, the Duluth,
Minnesota native appeared in ten games with the Force and was drafted by
Fargo in the ninth-round (133rd overall) during the 2013 USHL Phase Two
Draft.
Prior to coming to the USHL, Toscano played three years at Duluth
East High School in Minnesota and recorded 102 points (45 goals and 57
assists) in 91 games played for the Greyhounds.
