Reway, Brennan and Kostalek named TELUS three stars of the week

Martin Reway, Jacob Brennan and Jan Kostalek were name TELUS three stars of the week today for the time period of November 4 to November 10, 2013.

The first star of the week is awarded to Martin Reway of the Gatineau Olympiques. The 4th round pick of the Montreal Canadiens in 2013 tallied 9 points and maintained a +5 in three games on the road. Reway was an important player for his team in Saturday's spectacular 4-3 win in Charlottetown. His team was tralling 3-0 in the third period, when Reway and his teammates opened it up, he got 2 goals and 2 assists in the comeback. On Sunday, he got his second 4 point game of the weekend, the third of his career, against the Moncton Wildcats, he was named the first star in the 5-4 win.

The goaltender, Jacob Brennan of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan is the second star of the week. The 19 year old goalkeeper, won each of his three games of the week,  two on the road. His average of 1.00 and save percentage of .965, in addition to a shutout, were good enough for him to get the second star of the week. He earned his first shutout of the season in a 1-0 win against the Sea Dogs last Tuesday night. Friday, he faced his former teammate Robert Steeves, now with the Olympiques. Jacob came out on top in a 3-1 win and was named the second star of the game. His third win of the week came against Charlottetown Sunday with a 5-2 victory, he made 27 saves and was named the second star of the game.

Jan Kostalek of the Rimouski Oceanic is the third star of the week. In three games, he got six assists including 5 on the power play. He had two assists in each of his team's three victories this week, against Chicoutimi, Baie-Comeau and Victoriaville. He was selected the first star against Baie-Comeau Friday in a 4-1 win. His third 2 point game this week happened yesterday in Victoriaville, during a 5-2 win, it allowed him to record at least one pass in a fifth consecutive game. The 18 year old, who was drafted in the 4th round by the Winnipeg Jets, has 18 points in 21 games so far this year.
