The Miramichi Timberwolves have traded forward Danny Wicks to the
Yarmouth Mariners in exchange for a third round selection in the 2014
MHL Draft plus future considerations.
Wicks was in his second season with the Timberwolves. In 16 games this
season, the 20 year old from Mount Pearl, Newfoundland had tallied five
goals to go along with eight assists. In 52 regular season games with
Miramichi last season, Wicks had tallied 39 points. As an 18 year old
rookie with the Pictou County Weeks Crushers in 2011-2012, Wicks posted
23 points in 44 games while also appearing in six games with the QMJHL's
Saint John Sea Dogs.
