The
Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are
pleased to announce the signing of Brendan Riordan (3/10/95) to a tender
agreement for the 2014-2015 season. The 6’0, 175 pound Defensemen is
currently in his second season as a member of the Chicago Mission U18
AAA team and becomes the Wings’ first tender for the 14-15 campaign.
“We
are very excited to welcome Brendan to the Aberdeen Wings,” Associate
Head Coach / Director of Player Personnel Francis Anzalone said.
“Brendan is a quality skating, two-way Defenseman who possesses a very
good skill set. Most importantly, he is a high character kid who
competes day in and day out and loves being at the rink. Brendan is
going to be a great addition to our D core next season.”
During
the 2012-2013 campaign, the Downers Grove, IL native tallied 4 goals,
12 assists and 16 points in 28 regular season games as a member of the
U18 Mission. The Mission compete in the High Performance Hockey
League.
“While
we like the player Brendan is today, we are even more intrigued with
his upside. He has some great tools and comes from a solid midget
program. We are extremely pleased that Brendan has chosen Aberdeen as
the place to continue his development,” Wings Head Coach Travis Winter
added.
