Drouin named the Social Media Star for the month of November

BOUCHERVILLE, Tuesday December 3rd, 2013 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League acknowledges the presence and positive influence of its players on social media platforms.

Jonathan Drouin, the Halifax Mooseheads star forward was thusly named today the Social Media star for the month of November 2013. It was an important month for Drouin who was named captain of Team QMJHL during the SUBWAY Super Series. He collected a total of 4 points during both games of the Series. With a total of 31 points, including 12 goals and 19 assists during the month, Drouin received many mentions on the League’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.

The young Tampa Bay Lightning hopeful received a total of 533 mentions on Twitter in the form of ‘favourites', ‘retweets’ or ‘direct mentions’ as well as 685 comments and ‘likes’ on Facebook. A total of 1218 mentions on both platforms helped him earn this title, awarded for the first time in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Anthony Mantha of the Val-d’Or Foreurs and Ryan Graves of the Charlottetown Islanders also received honorable mentions for the month with 625 and 482 mentions each.
