Alex Jackstadt of the Fargo Force has committed to play collegiate hockey at the University of Alaska-Anchorage following his USHL career.
Jackstadt has collected two assists in 21 games for the Force during his first USHL season. The 19-year-old forward was selected by the Force in Phase Two of the 2013 USHL Draft.
It will be a homecoming for the Anchorage, Alaska native when he begins is college career. He played youth hockey for the Alaska Wolves and Anchorage North Stars organizations before playing last season in the NAHL with the Kenai Brown Bears where he was second on the team in scoring with 39 points (20g, 19a) in 59 regular season games.
The University of Alaska-Anchorage is a member of the WCHA and has three USHL alumni on the SeaWolves roster this season; Derek Docken (Dubuque Fighting Saints), Austin Coldwell (Des Moines Buccaneers), Matt Bailey (Sioux Falls/Tri-City),
