The Brahmas recently acquired three new prospects that will be ready to hit the ice for the 2014-2015 season.
Derek Barach is a senior at Salisbury Prep in New England and an Albany, New York native. Derek won the NEPISHA championship last season, playing in 29 games scoring 10 goals with 11 assists in New England’s premier prep league. He has committed to the Mercyhurst University Lakers D1 hockey team for the 2015 season. Coach Wildfong says “Derek is a high end offensive skilled player who will be a big part of our plans for next season.”
Next, the Brahmas acquire Charlie Combs, a St. Louis, MO native. Charlie is a 17 year old high school junior, currently playing on the St. Louis Jr. Blues U18 team. Charlie was the leading goal scorer in the Tier one Elite Hockey League, with 16 goals in 16 games. Last season for the St. Louis Jr. Blues U18 Charlie played 40 games scoring 31 points with 20 goals and 11 assists and his team finished runner up in the 2013 USA Hockey Tier one Elite U18 Nationals. Coach Wildfong believes “Charlie has proven to be one of the elite goal scorers at the U18 level over the last two seasons. We are excited to add him to the Brahmas organization.”
Last but not least the Brahmas will add Brennan Anderson, a 19 year old from St. Charles, MO currently playing for the Peoria Mustangs in the NA3HL and currently has 19 goals and 18 assists in 25 games this season. In the 2012-2013 season Brennan had 20 goals and 25 assists in 45 games. This year Brennan is one of the top scorers in the NA3HL. “Brennan has been one of the top scorers in the NA3HL over the past two seasons. His skill set will fit in quickly with our team next year.” Coach Wildfong.
With the addition of these three players, the Brahmas look to add to their scoring chances and become top contenders in the NAHL in the 2014-2015 season.
