MJHL Readies for Winter Showcase

TFLORHAM PARK, NJ – The Metropolitan Junior Hockey League is pleased to announce a twenty-five game schedule for the upcoming MJHL Winter Showcase, being held at the Ice Line Quad Rinks in West Chester, Pennsylvania from December 13th through the 15th.

The Showcase, being hosted by the Philadelphia Junior Flyers organization, begins on Friday morning with a matchup between the New Jersey Renegades and the Brewster Bulldogs. The Bulldogs currently sit nine points out of first place in the highly competitive Mullen Division.

Other key matchups on Friday include the hosting Philadelphia Junior Flyers taking on the Metro Moose (11:45am), the Boston Bandits vs the Central Penn Panthers (2:00pm), the Northern Cyclones vs the Hartford Junior Wolfpack (2:00pm) and the Richmond Generals vs the Philadelphia Little Flyers (6:00pm).

The marquee game on day two features the two-time defending Keegan Cup champion New Jersey Rockets taking on the Boston Bandits. The Rockets are trying to regain some traction in the Mullen Division, where they currently sit in eighth place, fourteen points out of first place, but do have two games in hand. The Boston Bandits currently sit one point behind the Francis Division leading Boston Junior Rangers, with one game in hand. The game is scheduled to begin at 10:15am.

Other key day two matchups to watch include the Frederick Freeze vs the Brewster Bulldogs (12:00pm), the Richmond Generals vs the Northern Cyclones (12:00pm) and the Jersey Junior Titans vs the Hartford Junior Wolfpack (2:15pm).

The final day of the showcase contains eleven games, with the highlight being the Metro Moose vs the Boston Bandits at 8:30am. The Moose are among the hottest teams in the MJHL and have climbed to within seven points of the Mullen Division leading North Jersey Avalanche, with three games in hand, while the Bandits will look to leave the showcase with a lead in the Francis Division.

Other Day Three matchups to watch are the New Jersey Rockets taking on the Central Penn Panthers (8:15am) and the North Jersey Avalanche taking on the Philadelphia Junior Flyers (10:00am).
