Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Alan Millar has announced the hiring of Brooke Kosolofski as the teams new Head Trainer and Athletic Therapist. Current Athletic Therapist Curtis Amiot is leaving the organization after being hired as a member of the Moose Jaw Police Service.
Brooke comes to Moose Jaw with an extensive background, most recently he is the Athletic Therapist/Equipment Manager/Strength & Conditioning Coach with the Grande Prairie Storm in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. He has also worked with the University of Lethbridge Men’s hockey team and at Athol Murray College of Notre Dame as Director of Strength & Conditioning for all Notre Dame Hockey Programs from 2005 to 2009.
Kosolofski is certified with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association, is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), and is a graduate of both the University of Lethbridge and Mount Royal University in Calgary.
“Brooke joins us with a significant background and training in this important and specialized field. We are very confident in his ability to look after our players and their best interests on and off the ice,” said Millar. “We welcome Brooke to the Warriors and would like to thank Matt Hughes and the Grande Prairie Storm for their support of this move for Kosolofski.
“Curtis Amiot has been an integral part of the Warriors and we wish him and his family the best moving forward,” he added.
Brooke Kosolofski will join the Warriors December 26.
