The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) today unveiled the rosters for the two All-Star Teams that will compete at the 2013 (3rd Annual) Central Canada Cup All-Star Challenge scheduled to take place in Terrebonne, Quebec from December 27-29 at the Cité du Sport.
The two rosters consist of 40 players and include six members of Team Canada East at the World Junior ‘A’ Challenge, two members of Team East at the CJHL Prospect Game series, thirteen NCAA Division I commitments and three players from the most recent NHL Central Scouting 2014 NHL Draft “Watch List.”
The North-East Conference All-Star Team roster, led by Marty Abrams, General Manager and Head Coach of the Wellington Dukes, includes representation from eight member clubs, led by the Dukes with four players taking part. The Dukes are followed closely by Aurora, Newmarket and Whitby, each with three players selected. Newmarket Hurricanes’ General Manager and Head Coach Brian Perrin will assist Abrams behind the bench, while Drew Laskoski of the Hurricanes will be the Athletic Therapist.
The South-West Conference All-Star Team roster, led by Rich Ricci, General Manager and Head Coach of the St. Michael’s Buzzers, includes representation from nine member clubs, led by the Buzzers with four players taking part. The Buzzers are followed closely by Buffalo and Toronto Lakeshore, each with three players selected. Toronto Lakeshore Patriots’ Head Coach Jason Fortier will assist Ricci behind the bench, while Andrew Groombridge of the Georgetown Raiders will be the Equipment Manager.
