Toronto Jr. Canadiens defenceman Aaron Thow has officially confirmed his commitment to join the Clarkson University Golden Knights beginning with the 2014-15 ECAC season.
The native of Toronto Jr. Canadiens made his OJHL debut with the North York Rangers in 2011-12, playing a single game for the club as an affiliate from the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Midget 'AAA' program. The following year he made the full-time jump to junior hockey, remaining with the Jr. Canadiens organization, where he has spent the past two seasons. As a 17-year old rookie last season, Thow recorded 14 points in 50 regular season games played, while also getting his first taste of playoff action with a single assist in six post-season games. Thus far this season, Thow has taken his offensive game to the next level, currently sitting second on the Jr. Canadiens with 18 assists and fourth in overall scoring with 25 points in 28 games played. His totals of 7 goals, 18 assists and 25 points also rank him sixth, ninth and eighth respectively among all OJHL rearguards and he would ultimately earn a spot as a member of Team Canada East that competed at the 2013 World Junior 'A' Challenge that was held in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.
Congratulations to Aaron on the commitment and best of luck as he closes out his junior career!
