Vees captain McClure leads all scorers and takes POW honours

Penticton Vees forward and captain Brad McClure has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 1, the league announced Monday.

McClure led all BCHL scorers for the week with five goals and three assists for eight points. The native of Stratford, Ont. opened his week with the game-winning goal and an assist in a 3-2 road win over West Kelowna where he took 2nd Star. He followed that with two goals and two helpers in another 2nd Star effort in a 5-4 loss to Langleyand rounded out the week with a pair of goals and 1st Star in a 9-4 win against Chilliwack.

The 20-year-old moved into second in league scoring and now has 22 goals and 41 points on the season.
