Alex Dubeau named VAUGHN QMJHL Goaltender of the Month

Press Release

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League today announced that Moncton Wildcats goaltender Alex Dubeau is the VAUGHN QMJHL Goaltender of the Month for December.

The Mascouche native was brilliant over the course of the past month, collecting nine wins in ten starts while posting a 2.28 goals-against-average and .935 save percentage. He also posted a shutout.

His great play has helped Moncton climb to second place in the TELUS Maritimes Division. They now trail the division-leading Halifax Mooseheads by only five points.

The Wildcats goaltender leads the league in wins with 21 and sits third with a 2.56 goals-against-average.

Dubeau has 88 career regular season wins and could break the century mark before the end of the 2013-14 campaign.
