Blues’ Parsons named MJHL Recycle Everywhere Player of the Week

Outstanding goaltending has earned Scott Parsons of the Winnipeg Blues this week’s MJHL Recycle Everywhere Player of the Week award ending January 19th.

The rookie netminder posted a 2-1 record last week, highlited by a shutout win for the Blues who sit fourth in the tight Addison Division with 23 wins and 52 points.

Parsons, who hails from Fort Francis, is enjoying a strong inaugural season in the MJHL, reflected in a 9-7 record and three shutouts.

The runners up are 20 year old goaltender Adam Iwan of the Virden Oil Capitals and 19 year old forward Colin Baudry of the Steinbach Pistons.
