Donaghey assigned to Yarmouth

SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs have assigned forward Connor Donaghey to the Yarmouth Mariners of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League (MHL).

The 19-year-old from St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, registered two assists and seven penalty minutes in 22 games with the Sea Dogs this season.

Donaghey was signed as a free agent by Saint John in 2011.

He made his Sea Dogs' debut during the 2012-2013 campaign, posting three goals and six points in 15 games.

This will be Donaghey's second stint with the Mariners, after tallying nine goals and 29 points in 29 games with Yarmouth in the first half of last season.

He will remain an affiliate player with the Sea Dogs.
