Michael Giugovaz traded to Belleville for Jason Da Silva

Peterborough Petes General Manager Michael Oke announced today that goalie Michael Giugovaz has been traded to the Belleville Bulls in exchange for goalie Jason Da Silva and a 5th round selection in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection.

Da Silva was selected in the seventh round, 132nd overall by the Guelph Storm in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection. He was acquired by Belleville in a trade in September, 2013. Da Silva has played in 19 career OHL games, posting a goals against average of 4.80 and a save percentage of 0.858, mostly with Belleville. Da Silva played in Guelph for two seasons with Peterborough’s recently acquired centre Hunter Garlent.

Giugovaz was selected by the Peterborough Petes in the tenth round, 184th overall in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection. The 1995-born goalie has played in 52 games with the Petes since 2011, posting a record of 14-23-2-3 with a goals against average of 4.02 and a save percentage of 0.884. In 20 games played this season, he has a GAA of 4.35 and a S% of 0.861.
