OHL Announces Disciplinary Action

Toronto, ON - The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of the completion of the review of four (4) separate incidents which took place in games played on Friday January 10, Saturday January 11, and Sunday January 12, 2014.

Game of Friday, January 10th – Erie at Owen Sound

The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of a review of an incident which took place in a game played in Owen Sound on the 10th of January, 2014, involving the Attack and the visiting Erie Otters Hockey Club.

The incident reviewed was a check to the head infraction assessed to player Gilbert Gabor of the Owen Sound Attack Hockey Club.

Based on such review, it is the position of the League that player Gilbert Gabor shall be suspended for ten (10) games effective immediately.

Game of Friday, January 10th, 2014 – Plymouth at Sarnia

The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of a review of an incident which took place in a game played in Sarnia on the 10th of January, 2014, involving the Sting and the visiting Plymouth Whalers Hockey Club.

The incident reviewed was a 5 minute major and game misconduct for checking to the head assessed to player Hayden Hodgson of the Sarnia Sting Hockey Club.

Based on such review, it is the position of the League that player Hayden Hodgson shall be suspended for ten (10) games, dating from but not including the game of Friday, January 10th, 2014.

Game of Saturday, January 11th, 2014 – Kingston at Barrie

The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of a review of an incident which took place in a game played in Barrie on the 11th of January, 2014, involving the Colts and the visiting Kingston Frontenacs Hockey Club.

The incident reviewed was a 5 minute major and game misconduct for checking to the head assessed to player Nick Pastorious of the Barrie Colts Hockey Club.

Based on such review, it is the position of the League that player Nick Pastorious shall be suspended for five (5) games, dating from but not including the game of Saturday, January 11th, 2014.

Game of Sunday, January 12th, 2014 – Windsor at Erie

The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of a review of an incident which took place in a game played in Erie on the 12th of January, 2014 involving the Otters and the visiting Windsor Spitfires Hockey Club.

The incident reviewed was a 5 minute major and game misconduct for checking to the head assessed to player Cristiano DiGiacinto of the Windsor Spitfires Hockey Club.

Based on such review, it is the position of the League that player Cristiano DiGiacinto shall be suspended for eight (8) games, dating from but not including the game of Sunday, January 12th, 2014.
