Omaha 18U forward Whitney signs NAHL tender

The Omaha AAA Hockey Club, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL), are pleased to announce that 18U forward Mark Whitney has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Michigan Warriors of the NAHL. The Warriors compete in the NAHL’s North Division.
 
Whitney, 17, is a 6'2/210 lbs. winger who is from Maple Valley, Washington and is in his second season with the Omaha AAA organization. 
 
To date this season, Whitney has amassed 4 goals and 8 assists for 12 points to go along with 112 PIM in 45 games overall. In NAPHL play this season, he has eight points in 18 games.
 
Last season, Whitney played in 16 NAPHL games for the Omaha 16U team and five games for the 18U team. He was on the Omaha team that captured the 16U NAPHL title last season, recording two points in five playoff games.
 
In his NAPHL career, Whitney has played 39 career regular season games and recorded 17 points.
 
Whitney becomes the 7th player this season from the Omaha AAA Hockey 18U and 16U teams to sign an NAHL Tender this season joining: Ryan Cagnoni 18U (Corpus Christi), Mason Krueger 18U (Corpus Christi), Tycho Falk 18U (Coulee Region), Matt Pulver 16U (Fairbanks), David Brumm 16U (MN Magicians) and Tyler Doyle 18U (Topeka).
