Point added to Top Prospects Game

Press Release

Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that forward Brayden Point of the Moose Jaw Warriors will compete for Team Orr at the BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game hosted by the WHL’s Calgary Hitmen on Wednesday January 15, 2014.

Point is a 17-year-old Calgary native playing in his second full WHL season in Moose Jaw after being chosen 14th overall by the Warriors in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft.  In 44 games this season, Point leads his club in scoring with 19 goals and 23 assists for 42 points.  He becomes the first member of the Warriors to compete in the game since first round NHL Draft picks Dylan McIlrath (10th overall, New York Rangers) and Quinton Howden (25th overall, Florida Panthers) participated in the event in 2010.

Point replaces forward Sam Bennett of the Kingston Frontenacs who is unable to compete due to recent injury.
