The St. Louis Selects of the North American Prospects Hockey League are pleased to announce 18U forward Trevor Thornton has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Michigan Warriors. The Warriors compete in the NAHL’s North Division.
Thornton, 18, is in his third NAPHL season and second with the 18U
team. In 19 games played to date, the native of St. Peters, Missouri has
17 points (9 goals, 8 assists), which ranks second on the Selects 18U
team in scoring.
Thornton’s (6’0/190) most productive event of the year came at the
last NAPHL event in Oxford, OH, where he recorded six points in the five
games played. It included a season-high three points in a win over the
Detroit Falcons.
During the 2012-13 season, Thornton played for the St. Louis 18U
team where he set career highs in points (21) and goals (13). In
2011-12, he played for the Selects 16U club where he recorded 13 points
in 18 games played.
During his NAPHL career, Thornton has played in nine career NAPHL
playoff games and recorded 11 points. In his NAPHL regular season
career, Thornton has played in 59 career games and recorded 51 career
points.
The 18U Selects enter the final regular season event of the year
tied for 10th place in the 18U standings, five points out of the 8th and
final playoff spot for the Gold Division. Three of their five remaining
games are against teams that are ahead of them in the standings.
