Duclair, Auger and Diaby named the TELUS three stars of the month of January

BOUCHERVILLE, Saturday February 3rd, 2014 - Anthony Duclair, Sébastien Auger and Jonathan Diaby were named today the TELUS three stars for the month of January.

The first star of the month is the Quebec Remparts’ forward Anthony Duclair. In 12 games, Duclair collected 28 points, including 14 goals. He had a career best offensive performance in the League on January 30 against the Halifax Mooseheads, with 7 points in a 8-2 win. The New York Ranger’s third pick is the QMJHL's best scorer with 45 goals. The Remparts won 10 out of their 12 games during the first month of the year.

Sébastien Auger, Saint John Sea Dogs’ goaltender, is the second star of the month. Auger had a record of 6-5-0-1, a goals against average of 2.61 and a save percentage of .933 . He got two shutouts, including one against the Val-d'Or Foreurs on January 31, where he blocked an impressive 53 shots. Auger was selected in the games’ 3 stars 6 times, including twice as the 1st star.

Victoriaville Tigres defensemen, Jonathan Diaby is the third star of the month . The 6'05 player collected 11 points in 12 games with a + / - of +8. Consistent and reliable, he had a positive +/- in 11 out of 12 games in January. He got at least one point in 9 games and contributed to the success of the Tigres’  who are currently on a 9 game winning streak.
