Musil commits to the University of Maine

Press Release

The New England Wolves are proud to announce that high scoring center Jack Musil  (Hull, England) has made a hockey commitment for September 2014 to Coach Red Gendron and the Maine Black Bears of Hockey East.  In 38 games this season the 6’1, 180 pound center has racked up 37 goals, including 8 game winners and 31  assists for the 29-7-6 Wolves.

“Jack is a premium talent who possesses a unique blend of high impact skill level, hockey I.Q, creativeness and vision that he combines with passion and an ultra compete level.  His goal scoring ability and instinctiveness around the net are outstanding and as good as I’ve seen at junior age” stated Coach Steve Jacobs.   Musil is also a responsible defensive center which is evident in his +40 plus minus ratio.

“ Our staff feels that Jack will be ready to go in and contribute right away.  He has a presence on the ice that is rare and he makes big plays and scores big goals.”   Musil’s official visit and opportunity to watch the January 25 Maine 4-2 win over UNH convinced him that Maine was the school he wanted.

“The atmosphere was unbelievable and the hockey fast and exciting.  I really like the players and I couldn’t be any happier. I am honored to have the opportunity and can’t wait to get there,”  states Musil.
