Source Embroidery SJHL power rankings

Press Release

1-BATTLEFORDS NORTH STARS (29-16-0-2) ... 1st last week
Winning streak at 12 and counting.  Is there a better defense than Forbes, Schmidt, Charleson, Erickson as a top four?

2-YORKTON TERRIERS (29-11-2-4) ... 2nd last week
Terriers may beg to differ on that remark about the defense of the Stars.

3-KINDERSLEY KLIPPERS (28-12-3-2) ... 4th last week
Back in the win column after going winless in three.  It's a dogfight atop the Kramer Division with the Stars.

4-MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES (30-13-2-2) ... 3rd last week
Mils fans didn't like the third place ranking last week despite a national ranking.  They may not like fourth this week, but back to back games of no goals for and two losses turns over first place in Viterra Division.

5-ESTEVAN BRUINS (23-15-2-5) ... 5th last week
They've been a consistent team for two months and now are in a position to snare coveted 6th seed in playoffs.

6-HUMBOLDT BRONCOS (26-17-1-5) ... 6th last week
After a 7-0 wipeout to Yorkton on Friday, the blanking of Melville on Saturday was huge.

7-MELFORT MUSTANGS (20-19-1-5) ... 7th last week
What an explosion against La Ronge (21 goals scored in two games).  In firm control of Sherwood Division now.

8-WEYBURN RED WINGS (18-21-3-4) ... 8th last week
Six straight wins for the league's most dangerous low seed at the moment.

9-NOTRE DAME HOUNDS (18-21-1-5) ... 10th last week
They've played a lot of close games and are finding ways to grind out points.

10-NIPAWIN HAWKS (19-22-1-3) ... 9th last week
World beaters one night.  A train wreck the next.  They need to get back on the rails.  Six straight losses.

11-LARONGE ICE WOLVES (18-25-3-0) ... 11th last week
Giving up 21 goals to the Mustangs, who aren't known to be a juggernaut, has to be close to rock bottom.

12-FLIN FLON BOMBERS (17-27-0-2) ... 12th last week
They've dropped nine of ten and playoffs look like a long shot.  They need a good run of wins.

WHO'S HOT

Anthony Pickering, Melfort (5-5-8-13) ... He feasted on La Ronge last week, but has been exceptional for the last two weeks really.

Chase Norrish, Yorkton (6-2-8-10) ... One week Brady is the better Norrish. The next week it's Chase.  They are both excellent.

David Heath, Melfort (4-4-6-10) ... Defensemen have enjoyed big offensive spurts and Heath falls into that category.

Owen Laclare, La Ronge (2-2-4-6) ... Good production, but not enough to help Ice Wolves get wins.

Daulton Siwak, La Ronge (8-3-6-9) ... A nice January 10th addition.

Ty McLean, Weyburn (5-5-3-8) ... A big part of their six game win streak.

Michael Gudmandson, Battlefords (4-0, 0.98, .966, 1SO) ... He's a fortress.

Ryland Pashovitz, Humboldt (4-3, 1.29, .965, 1SO) ... Has he played enough to win SJHL Rookie Of The Year?
