More Notes

The New England Hockey Journal recaps Mike Cichy's performance at the World Junior A Challenge. I heard a lot of good things about before the 2008 Draft and he didn't get drafted. He has had a great start so far with the Tri-City Storm. He has five goals and eight assists in 13 games. He will be heading to North Dakota.

That report also talks about the success of Ryan Bourque, Kenny Ryan, and Brandon Rempel at the Five Nations Tournament in Lake Placid, NewYork.

Lastly they talk about the Brandon Maxwell trade. He was a Boston College commitment. Look at the different views on USA Hockey's decision to keep Maxwell. Here's the commentors on the Western College Blog and the views on thenoof.

A new OHL Blog has popped up called "OHL Prospects" and has the latest changes to the OHL roster for the ADT Canada-Russia Challenge.

The following players have been added to the roster for the Guelph game on November 20:

Nick Crawford - Saginaw
Josh Brittain - Kingston
Ryan O'Reilly - Erie

The following players have been added to the roster for the Niagara game on November 24:

Alex Pietrangelo - Niagara
Stefan Della Rovere - Barrie
Two commitments to speak of. Miami-Ohio received a verbal commitment from Indiana ICE forward Shane Berschbach for the 2010 season. He has three goals and eight assists in 12 games. He joins ICE teammates Joe Hartman and Max Cook who will be heading to Miami.

Robert Visca of the Orangeville Crushers has committed to UMASS-Lowell for next season. He has five goals and six assists in five games. Lowell has two other players in the OJHL (Previously the OPJHL)

That's My Take
