ONTARIO HOCKEY LEAGUE – OHL

John Tavares, Oshawa Generals

John Tavares becomes the first player to be named draft performer of the week three times after posting 4 goals and 1 assist in wins versus Peterborough and Barrie and a shootout loss to Mississauga. The Oakville native currently sits third in league scoring with 21 goals and 43 points in 28 games. Tavares is known for his skill, and hockey sense.

WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE – WHL

Tomas Vincour, Edmonton Oil Kings

Tomas Vincour had an excellent week after posting 3 goals and 2 assists for Edmonton in wins over Prince Albert and Moose Jaw. Vincour, a native of the Czech Republic, is in his second season in the Western Hockey League and has 13 goals and 14 assists in 30 games. The 6’ 2” Right wing is known for his soft hands and strong skating ability.

QUEBEC MAJOR JUNIOR HOCKEY LEAGUE – QMJHL

Andrej Nestrasil, Victoriaville Tigres

Andrej Nestrasil had a tremendous week, scoring 3 goals and 5 assists in 3 games this past week. The 6’ 2” native of the Czech Republic has 10 goals and 26 points in 30 games in this, his first season in the QMJHL. Nestrasil, is a Left wing who sees the ice well and goes hard to the front of the net.

UNITED STATES HOCKEY LEAGUE – USHL

Louis Leblanc, Omaha Lancers

Louis Leblanc is the USHL draft performer of the week for the second time after notching 2 goals and 2 assists as well as a plus-3 rating in three games this week. Leblanc currently sits second on his team and ninth in league scoring with 9 goals and 19 points in 20 games. The Forward from Kirkland, PQ is known for his offensive talent and his ability to play with an edge.
