Murphy signs with Kitchener

Head Coach and General Manager of the Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club Steve Spott has announced the signing of their first round pick in the 2009 Priority Selection, Ryan Murphy to an Ontario Hockey League contract.

Murphy tallied 30 goals and 65 assists in 73 games for the York Simcoe Express during the regular season.

Spott had this to say, "Ryan is going to play a large role in our club this year and in years to come. He is an extremely intelligent player that is an offensive threat every time he is on the ice. Ryan is the type of player we want in our program. He is also successful in the classroom. Ryan will be a great player for our organization, both on and off the ice".
