Cseter to Huntsville

Press Release

The Salmon Arm SilverBacks Junior “A” Hockey Club is pleased to announce that Justin Cseter has accepted a scholarship to the University of Alabama Huntsville. Justin will be joining teammate Keenan Desmet as both graduating twenty-year-old players head off to begin NCAA university scholarships this fall.

Cseter is from Menomonie, Wisconsin and joined the SilverBacks ten games into the 2008-2009 regular season. The 5’ 11”, 185 lbs right-shot forward came to Salmon Arm from the Lincoln Stars of the USHL where he recorded 40 points in 59 games.

During his brief but very successful season with the SilverBacks, Justin added 46 points in 50 games including 14 goals during the regular season. In the playoffs, Cseter was second in team scoring with 11 points in 11 games.

"Justin was fantastic for us from day he arrived," commented Head Coach/GM Rylan Ferster. "He played in every situation and is one of the best face off players I’ve ever coached. He never took a practice or shift off all season long."

Team Owner Randy Williams said, “Justin is a very talented hockey player and a great young man. We will miss him but at the same time wish him all the best with his scholarship offer”.

The entire SilverBacks organization would like to congratulate Justin and his family on this great accomplishment.
