New Leadership for the Millionaires

The Quesnel Millionaires Junior A Hockey Club is pleased to announce the hiring of Glen Watson as the team's new Head Coach and General Manager. Watson has signed a four-year contract with a one-year option effective June 1, 2009.

A native of Smithers, B.C , Watson brings to the Millionaires more than twelve years of head coaching experience at the Junior “A “ level , two years Senior level , and additionally has developed Minor Hockey Programs for many years which involved community development.

Watson's accomplishments as a coach include: winning an SJHL Championship, two MJHL Championships, two Royal Bank Cup Finalists, an Allan Cup Finalist and former Millionaire Junior Coach here in Quesnel. As a player, Watson has played Junior and Senior Hockey for fourteen years internationally.

Watson is very excited to be back in his home roots and work with an energetic management and new ownership team. He is also looking forward to his involvement in the community at various levels of hockey development. Watson believes in being a solid mentor for all children who have a desire to be in involved in hockey.

"With management, staff, excellent planning, pushing, teaching and goal planning, we will be able to reach an excellent brand of hockey for the Quesnel Millionaires and bring Millionaires' Pride back," he says.

The entire Millionaires organization and ownership group would like to welcome Watson back to Quesnel and thank all applicants who expressed an interest in this opportunity.
