Storm sign Ciocco

The Guelph Storm Hockey Club announced today that Julian Ciocco, the team's third round draft pick in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection, has signed an Ontario Hockey League contract with the team.

Ciocco, a 5.11, 190 lbs defenseman was chosen with the 53rd overall selection. Last season the Acto New Jersey native played for Cushing Academy Prep school racking up 12 points, including 2 goals and 10 assists in 31 games.

Guelph Storm Head Coach Jason Brooks has described Julian as a "physical defenseman that takes the body and plays a simple, but effective game."

Ciocco was in attendance at the Storm's annual Prospect Day held in May at the University of Guelph and will be on hand at the Sleeman Centre to attend the Storm training camp which begins Wednesday August 26th.
