Thomson signs with Kitchener

Head Coach and General Manager of the Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club Steve Spott has announced the signing of their eighth round pick in the 2009 Priority Selection, Ben Thomson to an Ontario Hockey League contract.
Thomson played for the Mississauga Reps minor midget AAA during the 2008-09 season.

"We are extremely pleased that despite Ben's ivy-league opportunity, he and his family have chosen to come to the Kitchener Rangers, where he can develop as an elite hockey player while achieving his academic goals" - Steve Spott.

"Ben is a big power forward with offensive upside while being responsible at both ends of the ice. We are thrilled to have Ben become a part of our program for the next few years" - Spott.

Thomson will participate in the Provincial Under-17 Selection Camp from June 25-28 in Ottawa, ON.
