Courchaine to Sarnia

Press Release

The CHL’s annual Import Draft is being held today for European players. The Ottawa 67’s acquired the 36th overall selection from the Sarnia Sting in exchange for overage goaltender Adam Courchaine and a conditional 5th round draft choice. The 67’s also hold the 48th overall selection in the first round. The draft has two rounds with Ottawa also having the 108th overall selection in round two.

Each team in the CHL is allowed to carry two import players. The 67’s have two available spots for imports in the 09/10 line-up after the departure of defenceman Martin Paryzek, who spent two seasons with the club. Other imports that have suited up for the 67’s include Jakub Vojta, Lukas Mensator and Karol Sloboda.
