Saints name new Coach

The Winnipeg Saints of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) are pleased to announce that Keith Cassidy has accepted the position of Head Coach.

Keith comes from a successful three year stint as Head Coach with the rival Selkirk Steelers where he led them to 138 regular season wins. In 2006/07, the Steelers won the MJHL title along with the Anavet Cup as they represented Manitoba at the Royal Bank Cup in Prince George, B.C.

Beside Cassidy on the bench this year will be two assistant coaches. Ted Ryplanski, who for the last three years assisted Cassidy in Selkirk will do double duty as a goaltender consultant, and Chris MacKinnon who most recently was the Head Coach of the Central Plains Capitals of the Manitoba Midget AAA Hockey League in 2007/08.
