MJAHL releases schedule

The Maritime Junior A Hockey League has finalized its 50 game regular season schedule for the 2009/2010 season. Key highlights of this year’s schedule include a reduction in games to be played by the 11 member teams to 50 and for the fourth year the MJAHL has scheduled its 11 game Showcase Weekend. This year's Showcase will again take place in Summerside.

Regular season action gets underway on Thursday, September 10th. Both Divisions offer up one game each as the Dieppe Commandos host the Miramichi Timberwolves and the Weeks Crushers host the Campbellton Tigers. Friday night sees no action and then three games go on Saturday as Amherst hosts Yarmouth, Campbellton is back home to take on Miramichi and Truro hosts the Crushers. Two Sunday games end the first weekend of regular season play as Bridgewater hosts Amherst and Summerside hosts Dieppe.

The fourth annual MJAHL Showcase weekend is scheduled to take place October 2nd – 4th with all matches being played at Credit Union Arena in Summerside. All eleven MJAHL clubs will play over the course of the 3 day event with all games counting toward overall standings.
