Rocket acquire Marco Cousineau

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, September 21, 2009 – The P.E.I. Rocket and the Drummondville Voltigeurs made a significant trade this morning. The Rocket acquired the services of goaltender Marco Cousineau (89-11-09) from the Voltigeurs for a first round pick in 2011.

Cousineau, a three-year veteran, helped the Voltigeurs win their first President Cup last spring, posting a 13-3 record with a 2.44 goals-against-average and .910 save percentage.

Moreover, he received the Memorial Hap Emms Trophy at the conclusion of the 2009 MasterCard Memorial Cup as the Tournament’s Most Outstanding Goaltender.

The St. Lazare native was chosen by the Anaheim Ducks in the third round of the 2008 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
