PAT DALEY ADDED TO EASTERN CONFERENCE ROSTER FOR THE 2010 OHL ALL-STAR CLASSIC

Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Pat Daley of the Peterborough Petes has been added to the Eastern Conference All-Stars roster for the 2010 OHL All-Star Classic which takes place next week February 2-3 in Kingston, ON.

Daley, a 20-year-old from Whitby, ON, is playing in his fifth OHL season and third full season with the Petes after beginning his OHL career with the Ottawa 67’s in 2005. Daley is currently second in team scoring with 21 goals and 31 assists for 52 points in 46 games and is tied for the club-lead with eight power play goals.

Daley replaces teammate Ryan Spooner who is unable to participate in the event due to injury.

The 2010 OHL All-Star Classic features 40 of the top OHL players representing all 20 member clubs divided into two teams by Conference. The Eastern Conference All-Stars have won four straight games most recently at the 2009 event in Windsor by a score of 11-6. The Battalion’s Cody Hodgson and Justin DiBenedetto of the Sarnia Sting received player of the game honours. Over the years the game has featured many players that have moved on to be NHL stars including the last three players to be selected first overall in the NHL Entry Draft including Patrick Kane, Steven Stamkos, and John Tavares.
