NAPHL announces U18 individual award winners

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) has announced its Top Forward, Top Defenseman and Top Goaltender in the U18 division for the 2009-10 season.

Alec Hajdukovich of the Southern California Titans has been named the Top Forward. Hajdukovich, from Fairbanks, Alaska, led the U18 division in scoring with 30 goals for 39 points in 20 regular-season games for the champion Titans. Hajdukovich has been tendered by the Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the North American Hockey League (NAHL).

The St. Louis Selects’ Kevin Walters has been named the Top Defenseman. Walters, from O’Fallon, Mo., led all NAPHL blueliners in scoring with 20 points (four goals) in 20 regular-season games. Walters has signed a tender with the NAHL’s St. Louis Bandits.

Michael Baldwin of the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals has been named the Top Goaltender. Baldwin, from Waukesha, Wis., posted a 9-1-1 record in 11 regular-season appearances and led all NAPHL netminders in goals-against average (1.30) and save percentage (.932).
