Fourth Overall Pick Jarrod Maidens Commits to Attack

The Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League is please to announce that they have signed Jarrod “Iron” Maidens, their 1st round selection (4th overall) in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection to a standard Ontario Hockey League Player Agreement.

Maidens, a 6'01, 170lb forward played his Minor Midget Season with the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs amassing 63 goals, 41 assists for 104 points in only 57 games played. Maidens also competed in the 2010 OHL Cup Showcase Tournament.

The 2010 Owen Sound Attack Ray McKelvie Award Winner is described as a "skilled forward that has all the physical tools to be a dominant player at the next level.” Owen Sound Attack General Manager Dale DeGray says the Ridgeway, ON. native is a pure goal scorer. “When you think pro caliber shot and skating, you think Jarrod Maidens. This kid has all of the tools to be a premier offensive talent in this league and fans in Owen Sound should be very excited about watching this player.”

The Attack welcomes Jarrod and his family to the organization and looks forward to an exciting and successful 2010-2011 season.
