Lucas Lessio Commits to Generals

Oshawa Generals Head Coach & General Manager Chris DePiero announced today that the team has signed highly-touted prospect, Lucas Lessio, to a standard OHL agreement with the Generals.

After going in the 1st round of the 2009 OHL Priority Selection to the Niagara Ice Dogs, Lessio played the 2009-2010 season with the St. Michael’s Buzzers. The 17 year old Maple, Ontario native scored 30 Goals, 72 Points and added 77 Penalty Minutes in 41 games. He also added 3 Points in 5 games with the Buzzers in the 2010 CCHL Playoffs this past post-season.

“We are very pleased to welcome Lucas to our family, we’re excited that he has chosen the Oshawa Generals and the Ontario Hockey League to further his hockey development,” said Generals Coach and General Manager Chris DePiero.

DePiero added “we all wish Lucas the best of luck as he joins teammate Boone Jenner at Canada’s Under-18 Team selection camp in Calgary this weekend.”

Fans can watch Lucas Lessio, and the rest of the stellar 2010-2011 Generals, play all year long by purchasing season tickets which are on sale now at the General Motors Centre Ticket Office.
