Petes Complete Deal With Bulls

Press Release

eterborough Petes General Manager Dave Reid today announced that the Petes have acquired Cole Murduff from the Belleville Bulls. Murduff, a left handed defenceman from Ennismore, ON was selected by Belleville in the 8th round, 158th overall, of the 2009 OHL Priority Draft from the Peterborough Minor Midget Petes.

Last year with the Wellington Dukes in the Central Canadian Hockey League, Murduff appeared in 46 regular season games recording 3 goals, 6 assists and 28 minutes in penalties.

In exchange, the Petes have sent an 8th round pick to the Bulls in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection.

“We’re pleased to add a player of Cole’s calibre to our organization.” said Dave Reid. “Cole is a player that brings great work ethic and determination every time he comes to the rink. We are excited about adding another local player with Junior experience to the Petes organization and having played in the Minor Petes system growing up Cole is very familiar with the deep history and tradition of the Peterborough Petes.”
