Tyler Carroll named Storm Captain

Press Release

The Guelph Storm has announced that overage forward Tyler Carroll will captain the team for their 20th anniversary season.

Carroll, in his last season in the OHL, has played four seasons with the Storm collecting 20 goals and 40 assists for a total 60 points. Last year the hard nosed forward recorded a career high 39 points. Storm GM and Head Coach jason Brooks described Carroll as someone 'who is respected by the coaches and players and has a great presence both on and off the ice."

Alongside Carroll in the leadership group will be assistants Taylor Beck, Peter Holland and Michael Latta. All three wore the "A" last year with the Storm.

Brooks expressed that "the team is very pleased with the leadership group in place and feels they represent and are an extension of both the coaching staff and the players in the dressing room."

Carroll will officially don the "C" on Friday night as the Storm hit the ice for a game against the Niagara IceDogs.
