Windsor Acquires MacIntyre from Sault Ste. Marie

Press Release

(Windsor) Windsor Spitfires Vice-President and General Manager Warren Rychel today announced that the team has acquired defenceman Michael MacIntyre from the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. MacIntyre, a 19 year-old native of Belle River, Ont. is listed at 5’11” and 198 pounds.

In exchange, the Spitfires have sent a tenth round pick in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection to the Greyhounds.

Last season, MacIntyre played 9 games for the Greyhounds and played 14 games with the Chatham Maroons Jr. B squad of the GOJHL.

“Michael will add depth to our lineup with the status of Ellis and Fowler being uncertain for us. Michael is a local boy who plays hard and has good size and speed. He will be in the lineup on Thursday for our season opener against Plymouth.” said Rychel.
