Spruce Kings Trade for Trent Murdoch

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings have completed a trade with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), trading the playing rights of Liam Darragh in exchange for Trent Murdoch, Byron Sorensen and future considerations.

Trent Murdoch is a 91 born forward that played 60 games last season in Williams Lake finishing second in team scoring with 18 goals and 31 assists. This season, Murdoch has played in 8 games for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs with 2 goals and 1 assist. Murdoch is a 5'11" 160 lbs left handed forwarded from Nanaimo, British Columbia.

Byron Sorensen's rights have since been traded to the Laronge Ice Wolves of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) in exchange for future considerations.

Liam Darragh was the property of the Prince George Spruce Kings as part of the Wes McLeod trade with the Spruce Grove Saints on January 10, 2010. Darragh had most recently been playing with the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League (WHL).

Trent Murdoch will be joining the Spruce Kings in time for the next game at home when they host the Powell River Kings on Wednesday night.
