Bobcats' Mosey decides on Dartmouth

Press Release

Bismarck scoring leader Charlie Mosey is the first Bobcat to commit to an NCAA Division I school during the 2010-11 season, accepting an offer to play collegiate hockey at Dartmouth College (ECAC).

“It’s a huge relief to have my college plans set both for hockey and academically,” said Mosey, who will be one of the Cats’ representatives at next month’s NAHL Top Prospects tournament in Walpole, Mass. “Now I have the luxury of being able to focus on this season and helping our team repeat as national champions.

“It’s great for my family, as well,” added the Burnsville, Minn., native. “Everyone back home is really excited to know I’ll be moving onto the next level.”

Mosey will begin playing for the Big Green for the 2011-12 season and will join Bobcats goaltender Ryan Faragher at the Hanover, N.H., school. Faragher committed to Dartmouth during the 2010 NAHL Robertson Cup Playoffs.

An academic powerhouse, Dartmouth is ranked ninth in the U.S. News and World Report’s 2011 National Universities Rankings.

After Faragher, Mosey is the second current Bobcat overall to commit to a D-I program.
