Press Release

The Camrose Kodiaks are pleased to announce that 17-year-old defenseman Jonathan Lashyn (Saskatoon, SK) has committed to attend Merrimack College (Hockey East). Jonathan is currently in his first season with the Kodiaks.
Jonathan has played in 27 games this season and has one goal and 12 assists as well as leading the team in plus/minus. Jonathan will be joining current teammate Clayton Jardine on the Warriors.

"Jonathan was one of the top Midget players in Saskatchewan last year" says Coach/G.M. Boris Rybalka. "He has not missed a beat in making the jump to Junior A hockey. His poise and maturity on the ice has allowed us to play him in all situations"

The Kodiaks would like to congratulate Jonathan and his family. We recognize that Jonathan's hard work and dedication have certainly paid off for him, and we wish him continued success in his future academic and athletic pursuits. We know Jonathan will become a great asset to Coach Dennehy and the Warriors.
