NCI to broadcast FORMO All-Star Game

Press Release

NCI-FM has been named the official broadcaster of this year’s MJHL FORMO Motors All-star game, Derek Boychuk, chair of the 2011 host committee announced today.

The all-star game - presented by the Westwood Inn - will take place January 19 in the Swan River Centennial Arena.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for our station,” NCI’s General Sales Manager Michael Fabian said.

“Our listeners are the real winners here. I believe that this may be the first time that the all star game will be available to every hockey enthusiast in Manitoba, and the bordering cities from Ontario, Saskatchewan and North Dakota.”

The play by play duties will be handled by broadcasting legend Curt Kielbach, the long-time voice of the Winnipeg Jets. He’ll be joined in the booth by well-known sportswriter/broadcaster Scott Taylor.

“This duo is second to none in North America,” said Fabian. “Curt is a consummate professional and has called thousands of NHL games. Scott is one of the most knowledgeable sportsmen in North America.”
