Fallen Commits to Yale University

Cedar Rapids RoughRiders defenseman Thomas Fallen has committed to play collegiate hockey at Yale University following his USHL career.

Fallen, 19, is playing in his second USHL season and has posted 10 points (3g, 7a) with a plus-seven rating in 26 games for the Riders. He collected 15 points (2g, 13a) and a plus-13 rating in 50 games for Cedar Rapids during his rookie USHL season in 2009-10.

The Plymouth, Minnesota native was also part of the U.S. Select Team made up of entirely USHL players that captured gold at the World Junior A Challenge in November.

Fallen will be joined at Yale by RoughRiders teammate Stu Wilson who is also committed to the school.

Yale is a member of the ECAC and is currently the #1 ranked team in the nation.
