Future Considerations Completed with Vernon Vipers

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) are excited to announce the acquisition of Trevor Fitzgerald from the Vernon Vipers. This completes the January 10th trade that saw defenceman Ryan Renz go to the Vipers in exchange for Todd Skirving and future considerations.

Trevor Fitzgerald is a 1992 born forward from Vernon, BC that played last season with the Vipers of the BCHL. Fitzgerald played in 58 regular season games finishing with seven goals and eleven assists. Fitzgerald had three goals including a game winner and four assists in 16 games in the BCHL playoffs. In the Doyle Cup he scored another game winner and in the RBC Royal Bank Cup he played in five games picking up one assist.

"We are extremely thrilled to have a player like Trevor Fitzgerald joining our organization," said Spruce Kings General Manager, Mike Hawes. "Trevor is an extremely gifted player and a fierce competitor. Trevor was a focal point on the January 10th trade deadline and a key component in the trades that were made that day. Trevor was a player that I targeted and a player that I am extremely thrilled to have been able to acquire."

The Prince George Spruce Kings are preparing for their 40th season and are looking forward to having Trevor Fitzgerald and the rest of the players back on the ice starting with the team’s main camp in late August.
