Indiana Ice Teams Up for Indy 500

Press Release

Dreyer & Reinbold Racing is excited to announce a partnership with the Indiana Ice for the 100th Anniversary of the Indianapolis 500.

As the month of May has officially arrived, it's only fitting that the Indianapolis-based USHL hockey team would pair with DRR and Tracy, a Canadian and avid hockey supporter. The Indiana Ice will be represented on the No. 23 WIX machine of Paul Tracy for the 100th Anniversary of the Indianapolis 500. The Indiana Ice is a part of the United States Hockey League (USHL), which is the top junior ice hockey league in the United States. The Indiana Ice is a part of the Eastern Conference in the USHL and they won the 2008-2009 Clark Cup championship, defeating the Fargo Force three games to one in the finals.

"The Indiana Ice of the USHL are very excited to partner with locally owned and operated Dreyer & Reinbold Racing and WIX Filters for the 100th Anniversary of the Indianapolis 500. When DRR announced Paul Tracy as the driver of the #23 machine, we felt his addition to the team was a perfect fit for our Indiana Ice program. Like our Indiana Ice hockey players, he is fearless and has a great will to win. On behalf of the Indiana Ice, we wish the entire team much success during the month of May," commented Ice owners Cindy and Paul Skjodt.

The 100th Anniversary of the Indianapolis 500 will mark the first time that the Indiana Ice have partnered together for the famed event. They will be board in a major associate sponsor role on the Canadian's WIX Filters entry for the big event.

"We are extremely excited to welcome the Indiana Ice to our team for the month of May. They are a big part of the community and it's very fitting for both, DRR and the Indiana Ice to join forces, but we couldn't find a better pairing than with Paul Tracy," commented Dreyer & Reinbold Racing Co-Owner, Dennis Reinbold.
