The Lake Superior State Lakers have recruited former Weyburn Red Wings defenceman T-J Wees.
Wees, a 6-2, 210-pound defenseman from Golden, Colo had three goals and 25 assists along with 165 minutes in penalties for the Wings last season.
Wees will join former Kindersley Klipper Andrew Dommett and another former Wing—defenceman Andrew Perreault at LSSU. Head coach Jim Roque likes what he sees in Wees saying he is a big, strong physical defenceman that will compete for playing time and give them the physical presence he is seeking.
Wees is the second member of the Wings to continue his hockey career in the U-S. Goalie Riley Hengen committed to Minot State earlier this month.
